Hey guys it’s Davya here, President of ZAHZI events, and we are here with a very all important “How To Quit Your Job”.

You have two options – ready. Your first option, we are dubbing Sensible Sally. Sensible Sally, before she quits her job is going to ensure that she has saved up X amount of dollars so that she can live without any income for X amount of months or years depending on how sensible Sally is. So that’s your first option. That option, the pros are security. The cons are time, you can’t get it back.

Your second option, we are dubbing Renegade Randy. Renegade Randy has already mentally quit his job probably eight months ago, so he’s just been a warm body sitting at his desk typing away at his computer all day – right. One day Renegade Randy walks into work and he’s like F@*k this! And he began to pack up all of his things throughout the day. Renegade Randy has a heart and he believes in karma, so he ensures that everything is organized. He ensures that at least one person at the job knows that he’s about to pull a quitter and that they have everything they need for whatever he’s in the middle of and that they can find everything. Now – Renegade Randy is not going to forget anything. So he’s taking his shoes out of his desk, he is taking his bow ties out of his drawers – everything. Because Renegade Randy knows that when he leaves, he can’t call talking about I forgot something. Because you are DEAD to them once you do that. Pros are you followed your heart, congratulations that is the hardest thing to do in life and it also is the most beneficial thing to do in life. Cons are now you have to figure out how you’re going to live for X amount of months until your business starts bringing in income. So a little bit stressful.

Now, what you don’t want to do, in either case, is ask other people’s opinions. Unless you’re married and you have to speak with your husband then of course you do that. But if you start getting into other people’s opinion, especially other people who don’t have your mindset…Don’t even worry about doing it, because I’m going to tell you exactly what they’re going to say. “Honey, I don’t think you should quit your job. How are you going to pay your rent? How are you going to live? How are you going to buy food? I think that you should keep your full-time job, do your business on the side, and when your business starts to make as much money or more than you made on your full-time job – then you quit.” Cute little cookie cutter answer, fits in a cute little box, wrapped up, pre-packaged and everything. That’s exactly what you’re going to hear. The problem I have with that is there is no point in your business that you are going to feel set. You always have to start over. And if this is an ongoing process then you are ongoing going to be on a full-time job having your business on the side trying to figure out when is the right time to quit – that’s insanity!
